Maud Stumm (1866 – 1935)

Listed illustrator Maud Stumm (1866 – 1935) Stumm was born in Cleveland and studied at the Cleveland Art Club (1884 – 1885) before moving to New York where she attended the Art Students League studying under Cox and Mowbray. She continued her studies in Paris under Oliver Merson before returning to the US and settling on Nantucket. She is well known for her portraiture and series of elegant women chromolithographs from the early 1900’s.

The date of this drawings ranges 1800 – 1899 and 1900 – 1949. The works are in varied condition.

A group of 3 later 19th century drawings in ink over pencil of clothed figures, one signed. The drawings measure approx. 10 1/2 x 7 3/8 – 7/8in. In good condition with cut corners. One double sided.
