Clematis Olympia

This small, bushy plant has a surprising amount of flower power, creating an ample display of medium-size, long-lasting flowers that’ll sit close together on the petite vine. The flowers are outward facing so they’ll be on full display, and they’re slightly cupped too, which makes them unique. The lavender blue sepals slightly fade in maturity, which we actually really like on this Clematis. As each flower matures in its own time, all together they look like a tone-on-tone bouquet—the effect is charming. Olympia will flower again if you cut it back, it takes a little longer than some, but the beautiful second flowering is absolutely worth it. No room for containers? Olympia also looks great at the front of a sunny border, adding some romance to the scene.(growing on tree)

(Clematis) Compact and quite a bloomer, Clematis BOULEVARD® OLYMPIA™ is a free-flowering Clematis that is ideal for patio gardens. OLYMPIA™ features purple blooms with faint magenta bars and creamy yellow anthers. A unique feature to point out is that Clematis OLYMPIA™ produces flowers from not only the end of the stems but also from the leaf axils. The result of this great feature is… more blooms! Standing only 3-5 feet tall Clematis in the BOULEVARD® series are perfect patio size plants. Hardy in zones 4-9, Clematis OLYMPIA™ likes to be grown in full sun to part shade locations. We recommend shading the roots with mulch and watering regularly for the best results. Blooming early summer and repeat blooming again later on in the season, OLYMPIA™ looks great mingling up shrubs in your garden, or for a more tidy look add your favorite trellis for it to climb.
